Frontend Engineer - Sandbox (Product Prototyping, React)
Oliv
About Us
Oliv.AI is a SalesTech global startup headquartered in San Francisco, debuting the world's first team of AI Agents for sales. With our recent $5.2M Seed funding, we solve one of the biggest problems for revenue teams: unreliable deal data. Oliv captures Deal Intelligence from every meeting, call, and email—without any rep involvement. The result is a clear, detailed view of every deal, presented in scorecards built on trusted sales methodologies like MEDDICC, BANT, and SPICED. Our AI agents are built for sales teams—sales managers, AEs, and RevOps—handling the work that takes them away from selling. With Oliv AI, sales teams can bring back focus on deals, strategy and conversation.
Why this role exists
We’re hiring a frontend engineer to own our Sandbox- the space where ideas become real, customer-facing prototypes that often graduate into the product. This is a frontend-heavy role on the same stack as our core product (React), with a bias for speed, UX quality, and clean foundations that scale.
Rough split: ~80% Sandbox & product-adjacent UI, ~20% growth web (marketing site, SEO, landing pages).
What you’ll do
80% — Sandbox & Product-Adjacent UI
- Rapidly translate concepts into working sandbox experiences (think days, not weeks), iterating with PM/Design/ Founders.
- Lay the foundation for future product code: components you build in the sandbox are expected to “graduate” into production with minimal rework.
- Own customer-facing UX: pixel accuracy, accessibility, performance, and empty/error/loading states that feel polished.
- Build and evolve component libraries/design primitives that are reusable across sandbox and product.
- Instrument analytics/telemetry to validate ideas quickly (events, funnels, A/Bs when useful).
- Partner closely with backend to define clean contracts and mock data to keep velocity high.
20% — Growth Web (Website, SEO, Campaigns)
- Build and maintain our React-based website and high-converting landing pages for Google Ads, events, and launches.
- Implement SEO best practices (meta, structured data, sitemaps, CLS/ LCP, internal linking).
- Manage indexing strategy for sandbox and site (robots/ no-index where needed) to keep what should be indexed.
- Set up experimentation and analytics (UTMs, goals, split tests) to improve marketing velocity.
What makes this role unique
- Speed is the essence: you’ll ship rapid prototypes that customers can touch often the same week an idea emerges.
- Foundation > throwaway: sandbox code should be production-grade in structure, not just demos.
- Seamless flow: you’ll bridge sandbox ↔ website ↔ product, so prospects can discover, try, and adopt with minimal friction.
- High impact, high visibility: your work shapes what we ship next.
You’ll be great at this if you have
- 2-4 years building React apps with modern tooling (TypeScript preferred, React Router, state management, testing).
- A portfolio of polished, high-performance UIs shipped to real users.
- Prototype-to-product mindset: you know how to move fast and set strong architectural seams.
- Strong grasp of web performance & accessibility (Core Web Vitals, a11y, responsive design).
- Practical SEO know-how (metadata, schema, sitemaps, indexation controls, canonicalization).
- Comfort with analytics & experimentation (events, funnels, A/B or holdouts).
- Experience collaborating with design systems, Figma handoff, and component APIs.
