About the Role
This is where you come in. Below, you’ll find what this role is all about—the impact you’ll drive, the challenges you’ll tackle, and what it takes to thrive at Addi. If you’re ready to be part of something big, keep reading.
What’s the mission you’ll drive
Build a rock-solid, enterprise-grade merchant operations foundation that transforms operational infrastructure into a strategic competitive advantage, enabling Addi to scale our merchants with full financial traceability, self-service autonomy, and high-integrity data.
What you will do
Achieve data consistency across pricing, discounts, and revenue systems by implementing a governed, role-based workflow for MDF and discount configurations with full audit trails by the end of H1.
Increase successful payment rates for new merchants by deploying automated bank account validations, and Host-to-Host integrations.
Reduce manual cancellation volume by shipping a rebuilt cancellations system that supports multi-partial cancellations, automated loan eligibility rules, and an intuitive "Cancellation Tool" for internal ops.
Eliminate manual data corrections from onboarding errors by establishing a "Single Source of Truth" for merchant master data with two-way field synchronization between CRM and core financial systems.
-
Deliver the H2 2026 Strategic Roadmap by conducting cross-functional discovery into Identity & Access Management and Dynamic Pricing, securing stakeholder buy-in for at least two high-impact self-service merchant products.
What we’re looking for
-
Proven Track Record in Operational Infrastructure
Expertise in building and maintaining high-reliability backend systems (payment processing, reconciliation, billing) that handle high transaction volumes with zero-tolerance for error.
Ability to design and implement enterprise-grade financial controls, including robust audit trails, RBAC, and validation logic to prevent revenue leakage and ensure compliance.
Nice-to-have: Direct experience with Colombian/LatAm payment rails or local merchant banking infrastructure.
-
Demonstrates High Technical Acumen in Backend Environments
Capacity to lead deep-dive technical discussions with engineering teams regarding API design, data pipelines, and system integrations (e.g., Salesforce/CRM to core ledgers).
Skill in making pragmatic "rebuild vs. patch" trade-offs, navigating legacy technical debt in a high-growth startup to deliver value without sacrificing long-term stability.
Nice-to-have: Background in platform/infrastructure PMing or building developer tools/internal ops platforms like Retool.
-
Possesses Strong Cross-Functional Orchestration Skills
Ability to act as the "connective tissue" between Finance, Risk, Legal, and Sales, translating dense regulatory or accounting constraints into clear, actionable product requirements.
Experienced in driving consensus across teams with conflicting KPIs, such as balancing a Sales team’s drive for speed with Finance’s requirement for data integrity and month-end accuracy.
-
Experienced in Process Reengineering and Automation
Adept at mapping complex, manual workflows and transforming them into streamlined, automated self-service capabilities that empower merchants and internal teams.
Focuses on operational efficiency metrics (e.g., reducing "Time to First Payout," manual ticket volume, or incident counts) rather than traditional consumer engagement metrics.
Nice-to-have: Proven track record of Change Management, including the design of rollout plans, documentation, and training to ensure high adoption of new tools.
-
Exhibits a Relentless Ownership Mentality
Thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, identifying root causes of system failures and taking end-to-end responsibility for the solution without requiring constant direction.
Committed to pragmatic problem-solving (80/20 rule), delivering immediate incremental improvements while maintaining a clear vision for the future "North Star" of Merchant Ops.
-
Solid Expertise in Data Governance and Integrity
Proven ability to establish and maintain a "Single Source of Truth" across disparate systems, ensuring 100% consistency for merchant master data (tax IDs, banking info, contracts).
-
Familiarity with data quality frameworks and the implementation of automated health dashboards and alerting systems to proactively catch data incidents.
