About the Role

What’s the mission you’ll drive

Drive the growth of Addi's Marketplace by identifying, qualifying, and engaging high-potential sellers from target marketplaces and our existing "Ally" base, while driving a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities for the Hunting team, thereby fueling the expansion of our seller ecosystem.

What you will do

  • Consistently schedule and ensure completion of qualified discovery meetings per month with potential marketplace sellers who meet the predefined criteria set by the hunting team.

  • Identify, research, and qualify new seller leads sourced from competing marketplaces each quarter, converting these leads into qualified meetings handed off to the hunting team.

  • Proactively identify and qualify existing Addi allies per month as high-potential candidates for joining the marketplace (cross-sell), initiating the sales process for these opportunities.

  • Achieve a lead-to-qualified-meeting conversion rate for newly generated leads, ensuring efficient pipeline progression.

  • Maintain 100% accuracy in CRM (Salesforce) data for all prospected leads, activities, and opportunity stages, ensuring reliable forecasting and reporting for the hunting team.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven track record in lead generation, meeting setting, or opportunity qualification

    • 1-3 years of experience in a Sales Development (SDR), Business Development (BDR), inside sales, or high-volume B2B customer acquisition role. Experience within e-commerce, marketplaces, or fintech is highly preferred.

    • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, particularly top-of-funnel activities. Excellent cold outreach (call, email) and follow-up skills.

  • Marketplace Acumen:

    • Possesses a strong understanding of the local marketplace landscape, including key players, business models, and seller motivations, enabling effective identification and engagement of high-potential partners.

    • Demonstrated by the ability to identify relevant marketplaces and articulate Addi's competitive advantages in that context.

    • Ideally experience in Marketplace or e-commerce

  • Prospecting & Qualification Expertise:

    • Effectively utilizes various methods (manual research, scraping tools, social platforms, cold outreach) to identify high-potential sellers and rigorously qualifies them against defined criteria to ensure fit.

    • Consistently builds a strong pipeline of relevant leads by going beyond obvious sources and asking insightful questions during initial outreach to assess potential.

  • Effective Communication & Persuasion Skills

    • Clearly articulates Addi's marketplace value proposition in a compelling way, actively listens to understand prospect needs, and skillfully handles initial objections to secure discovery meetings.

    • Crafts targeted messaging (email, phone, WhatsApp) that resonates with potential sellers and confidently navigates gatekeepers and initial resistance.

  • Resilience & Drive for Results:

    • Demonstrates high motivation, a strong work ethic, and persistence in the face of rejection. Remains focused on achieving and exceeding targets for activity and qualified meetings.

    • Maintains consistent high-volume outreach activity daily, bounces back quickly from "no's," and proactively seeks ways to improve performance to hit monthly/quarterly goals.

  • Tech Savvy & Process Orientation:

    • Efficiently leverages CRM (Salesforce), sales engagement tools (e.g., prospecting software, WhatsApp Business, Slack), and scraping tools to manage workflow, track progress, and optimize outreach.

    • Masters the sales tech stack to maximize productivity, ensures all activities are logged accurately and promptly in Salesforce, and follows established processes for lead management and handoff.

  • Adaptability & Coachability:

    • Quickly learns and adapts to new strategies, tools, products, and market feedback in a fast-changing startup environment. Open to receiving and implementing constructive feedback.

    • Adjusts outreach messaging based on performance data, readily adopts new tools or processes introduced by leadership, and actively seeks feedback to refine skills.

  • Step 1: People Interview (30 min)
    A conversation with a recruiter to get to know you, your experience, and what you're looking for. We’ll also share more about Addi, our culture, and the role.

  • Step 2: Initial Interview (30 min)
    A more in-depth conversation with the hiring manager, where we explore your skills, experience, and problem-solving approach. We want to understand how you think and work.

  • Step 3: Role Play (60min)
    You'll navigate a real world scenario with a Hunter and Hunting Lead, focusing on your sales and prospecting skills, we want to see how you handle challenges in your role. Be prepared to showcase your proven record in lead generation

  • Step 4: Deep Dive Interview (30 min )
    You'll meet with our Head of Markeplace to get a feel for how we work together. We’re looking for strong contributors and cultural fits, so bring your questions, too!
