Anomalo is a SaaS solution that plugs directly into the modern data stack and automatically monitors tables for a wide range of data quality issues. Our software uses unsupervised learning to catch deep problems in the data, like sudden changes in the distribution, that aren’t covered by static rules or basic observability. With built-in root cause analysis, Anomalo shows not only whether data is anomalous but also why and what the impact is. This prevents data issues from reaching dashboards, reports, and products, while data teams spend less time debugging and more time building.

We are seeking a passionate Technical Data Evangelist to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our technical teams and external stakeholders, advocating for the power of data-driven solutions. You will be responsible for communicating complex data concepts in an engaging and accessible manner, inspiring others to embrace the transformative potential of data. This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing.

What you'll do as a Technical Data Evangelist at Anomalo:

• Advocate for the importance of data-driven decision-making both internally and externally
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations, workshops, and training sessions on data-related topics
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand and translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly language
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data technology, analytics, and data science
• Create engaging content such as blog posts, articles, videos, and social media posts to promote our data initiatives
• Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and networking events, acting as a subject matter expert
• Build and nurture relationships with community groups, educational institutions, and other organizations
• Provide feedback to product and technical teams based on market needs and trends
• Support sales and marketing teams by providing technical expertise and product demonstrations as needed

What you'll bring to the team:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data-focused role, such as data analysis, data engineering, or data science
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong understanding of data technologies, tools, and best practices. Preference for experience with data quality solutions
• Passion for data and its potential to drive change and innovation
• Experience creating technical content for various platforms and audiences
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
• Willingness to regularly travel for conferences, meetings, and events

Salary range:

• The estimated annual salary range for this role is $210,000 - $260,000 plus meaningful equity
