About This Role:

The Senior Clearing Operations Manager is part of the Clearing team and reports to our Senior Director, Treasury Operations. As our Senior Clearing Operations Managers, you will be responsible for overseeing the Clearing team for Binance.US and providing strategic and tactical leadership on all Clearing initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for daily operations of clearing including custody and possession or control of client and corporate assets. Functions include Clearing, Settlement, Transfers, Money Movement, Trading, Document Operations and Bank Operations.
  • Reconciliation of all companies financial records, matching account ledgers to external vendors and cross comparing to on-chain transactions and working closely with Accounting team to ensure monthly reconciliation ties back to every transaction
  • Deliver on both strategic and tactical programs and projects with a no-ego mindset
  • Develop, enhance and optimize clearing operations, encompassing custody, settlement, transfers of fiat and crypto.
  • Work closely with Produce and Tech teams to optimize clearing operations via automation.
  • Provide strategic direction for the Operations organization and adapt strategies to changing circumstances as required.
  • Clearly communicate the strategic direction of Operations to the team and key partners.
  • Direct the execution of successful integration and implementation of all new products, product enhancements, including system and platform upgrades and changes.
  • Ensure effective controls and optimizations in process are present, tested and maintained/updated to proactively manage risk and remain in compliance with all industry regulations and company policies and procedures.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Fintech operations with extensive experience in Back-Office and Middle Office Clearing operations, including demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience with custodial wallet arrangements and day-to-day management
  • Experience with daily and month-end reconciliation reporting
  • Experience working in a hypergrowth environment and managing both domestic and international teams
  • Strong people leadership, relationship leadership, results leadership and thought leadership
  • Experience in designing, implementing and automating processes and tools for Clearing operations
  • Capable of influencing key stakeholders across the enterprise and having a meaningful impact on the strategic direction of Operations
  • Known for building and fostering strong relationships with business partners and can influence upward and across a large organization
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to the industry and a strong understanding of risk and business controls
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and drive innovation with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Bi-lingual in Mandarin a strong plus

Salary:

The starting pay range for this role is between USD$150,000 to USD$175,000 for all U.S. remote locations. The actual base pay will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
