  • Solid understanding of trading practices, market structure, and market dynamics, ideally supported by prior experience in a trading or financial markets environment.

  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques, with experience using SQL and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or SAP for reporting and visualization.

  • Resourceful and analytical mindset, capable of working with both structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, anomalies, and key risk indicators.

  • Ability to design and implement detection strategies for identifying disruptive trading practices, fraud, market manipulation, or financial crimes.

  • Technical aptitude to contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of surveillance systems, including threshold tuning and system enhancements.

  • Strong research skills with a commitment to staying current on the evolving regulatory landscape, including CFTC core principles and compliance requirements for cryptocurrency exchanges and trade practices.
