About This Role:
The Security Engineer is part of the Security Operations team and reports to our Director Of Security Operations. As Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security tooling and infrastructure. Partnering with DevOps, Engineering and Product teams, you will holistically ensure the integrity of our systems, applications, users and integrations.
Core Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage security tools and technologies
Develop and maintain vulnerability management processes and procedures, including remediation efforts
Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure
Automate security processes and integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines
Manage and maintain Identity & Access Management roles and policies
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design secure architectures and solutions and to promptly remediate vulnerabilities
Monitor security alerts, analyze threat intelligence, and recommend proactive measures
Stay current with emerging security threats and industry trends to continuously improve security processes
Lead incident response and security incident investigations
Preferred Skills/Experience:
5+ years of experience in networking, systems engineering, cloud computing, enterprise infrastructure management, and/or crypto (preferably a mix)
Expert level understanding of security concepts.
Expert level understanding of networking concepts.
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
Experience with next-generation firewalls
Experience working in technical teams in an Agile environment
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Relevant technical certifications such as Cloud Computing and Security
Autonomy is key; you have the drive to solve problems and motivation to work through complex technical problems.
Salary:
The starting pay range for this role will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as location, transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
