Branch Overview

Branch is a leading AI-based lending fintech with 50M+ downloads across India and Africa. We use alternative data to reach millions of people that are largely excluded from the financial sector.
Headquartered in Silicon Valley with operations in India, Nigeria and Kenya, Branch is a for-profit, socially conscious company built for scale and impact. Our mission-driven team—founded and led by the former CEO of Kiva.org—now spans 400+ employees globally. We’re backed by investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Visa, and the IFC.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Lead Growth Analyst to own and drive the end-to-end growth analytics charter across Product and Marketing at Branch.

This role sits at the intersection of data, product, and growth strategy, and will be responsible for shaping how we acquire, activate, retain, and monetize users. You will lead a team of analysts (Product + Marketing) and work closely with leadership to define growth priorities, design experimentation frameworks, and ensure measurable business impact.

What You’ll Own

1. Growth Strategy & North Star Ownership

  • Define and own the growth metrics framework (acquisition, activation, retention, monetization)
  • Identify key levers across the funnel and prioritize high-impact opportunities
  • Partner with leadership to translate business goals into measurable growth plans

2. Experimentation & Optimization Engine

  • Build and standardize A/B testing and experimentation frameworks across Product and Marketing
  • Drive hypothesis generation, prioritization, and impact measurement
  • Ensure learnings are systematized and reused across teams

3. Funnel & User Journey Analytics

  • Own end-to-end funnel visibility across marketing → onboarding → engagement → conversion
  • Identify drop-offs, inefficiencies, and hidden constraints in the user journey
  • Drive deep dives on key metrics (CAC, LTV, conversion rates, retention cohorts)

4. Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor Product and Marketing Analysts
  • Set analytical standards, review outputs, and ensure high-quality insights
  • Build a strong culture of structured problem-solving and business impact

5. Cross-Functional Influence

  • Act as a strategic partner to Product, Marketing, Credit, and Business teams
  • Influence roadmap decisions using data-backed insights
  • Align stakeholders on priorities using clear storytelling and trade-offs

6. Data & Reporting Infrastructure

  • Ensure robust, scalable dashboards and reporting for growth metrics
  • Drive improvements in data quality, tracking, and instrumentation
  • Move the org towards near real-time decisioning where needed
What We’re Looking For

Experience
  • 7+ years in analytics, with strong exposure to growth/product/marketing analytics
  • Experience in consumer tech / fintech / high-growth startups
  • Prior experience managing analysts and leading projects end-to-end
  • Prior experience of scaling analytics functions

Skills

  • Strong SQL + Python skills
  • Ability to move from data → insight → business action
  • Leading strategic projects end to end (Ideation to execution to impact measurement)

Mindset

  • High ownership — thinks like a business owner, not just an analyst
  • Structured thinking with strong prioritization ability
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication — can influence senior stakeholders
