About the Role
The Strategic Finance team is focused on solving some of CaptivateIQ’s most pressing business issues. The team is responsible for owning the company's budget, driving annual and quarterly planning processes, allocating and deploying the company's resources efficiently, performing financial analyses, and partnering with teams across the company. The role requires someone who is highly analytical and strategic, a great communicator, approaches problems in a structured manner, and is comfortable with ambiguity. You’ll get substantial visibility, focus on the highest-priority business issues, and be plugged into every facet of the business.
The Strategic Finance Lead will join the company’s inaugural finance team and will lead the development, management, and expansion of the Corporate Strategic Finance function. Responsibilities will range from managing the corporate model and financial reporting to developing financial plans and capital allocations.


  • Manage the consolidated corporate model, drive regular forecast updates, and produce monthly reporting packages
  • Provide broad financial support, including preparation of financial plans, internal management reporting, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders to report, manage and control operating results, identifying areas of growth potential and cost efficiencies
  • Collaborate with Strategic Finance and Business Operations on the bi-annual planning process and long-range strategic plans
  • Drive a culture of performance management with real-time dashboards, KPIs, and insights into emerging trends
  • Prepare presentations communicating CaptivateIQ’s strategy and performance for the Company’s Board of Directors and investors
  • Support key strategic initiatives such as M&A, strategic partnerships, and capital markets activities
  • Craft a unit economics framework to assess investment in paid initiatives, and track ROI
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for the Executive Team


  • An ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and develop concrete action plans
  • A highly entrepreneurial “roll up your sleeves” mindset. You operate independently and manage ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong financial modeling experience and a willingness to dig into the details
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills and the ability to simplify messaging while understanding the nuances
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private/growth equity, Strategic Finance, Business Operations, or related fields
  • Experience at a high growth B2B SaaS business and in Corporate finance preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and develop strategic partnerships
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS businesses, metrics, and customer lifecycle
  • SQL proficiency is a plus
  • Familiarity with Netsuite and planning tools is a plus
