About the Role:
As a CaptivateIQ data analyst, you will play a key role across our Engineering, Product and Design (EPD) teams across a broad range of strategic and operational data responsibilities. You’ll influence product strategy and translate business, product and technical questions into concrete quantitative analysis. You’ll be a critical partner working cross functionally to uncover insights through data analysis deep dives and well-designed core metrics/dashboards. The right person is detail-oriented, curious by nature, can work without supervision, begins projects independently, is comfortable with ambiguity, and has a deep desire to become a thought partner for our EPD teams.
This position will report to the Director of Product Operations under the Product team at CaptivateIQ.

In this role you will:

  • Enable product, engineering, and design teams to understand and measure product, business, and customer performance via collaboratively setting OKRs, building dashboards, performing deep-dive analysis, and sharing data insights.
  • Communicate/present actionable insights through engaging data storytelling to stakeholders.
  • Design, create, automate, and maintain reporting that drives an improved understanding of product usage and end-to-end customer lifecycle.
  • Proactively socialize insights, dashboards, and reports with technical and non-technical audiences, soliciting feedback on where to improve.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and other teams to improve our data architecture and future-proof our analytics instrumentation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a data analyst, data science, data engineer, or related role
  • BS degree in analytical field: statistics, applied mathematics, economics, engineering etc. or equivalent practical experience
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL in querying and manipulating large datasets
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complicated findings or technical approaches into easy-to-understand data stories
  • Consistent record of using data to drive product teams to achieve ambitious goals and influencing company-level outcomes
  • Experience with visualization and dashboard development and maintenance.
  • Proficiency with BI solutions such as Tableau, Looker, Mode, PowerBI, Metabase, etc
  • Ability to adapt and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-oriented environment

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Python, R or similar scripting language
  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD) in analytical field: statistics, applied mathematics, economics, engineering etc.
