This is not a traditional project-delivery role. You’ll lead a highly specialized team of consultants and architects who blend accounting acumen with technical implementation expertise. Your mandate: scale a world-class reporting and compliance practice that connects operational delivery with financial accuracy and strategic business value.

Delivery Oversight & Operational Excellence Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of reporting and accounting-related project work across a portfolio of enterprise implementations.
  • Ensure solutions meet rigorous accounting standards for ASC340, SOX compliance, among others, and maintain ongoing financial data integrity.
  • Establish clear, measurable operational dashboards and feedback loops that enable early intervention, faster root-cause resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Design, implement, and operate systems that provide real-time visibility into project health, risks, dependencies, and resolution paths - giving internal stakeholders (including project teams, CX leadership, and executives) proactive insight into delivery performance.
  • Partner with the VP of Services and cross-functional leaders to evolve delivery methodologies for scalability, automation, and compliance alignment.

Accounting Strategy & Compliance Governance Responsibilities

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert on accounting compliance and reporting structure for incentive compensation.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities that support compliant financial data outputs.
  • Maintain and continuously refine internal best practices for accounting data structures, model hygiene, and report governance.
  • Champion a “compliance by design” philosophy in delivery, embedding financial accuracy into every phase of the implementation lifecycle.

Cross-Functional & Customer Engagement Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers’ finance and accounting teams on best practices for commission accounting, amortization schedules, and compliance reporting.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success and Support to ensure smooth post-implementation transitions and continued audit readiness.
  • Influence internal and partner-delivered project quality by developing playbooks, templates, and financial validation frameworks.

Team Leadership & People Development Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting-focused consultants and architects specializing in ASC 606 and financial reporting deliverables.
  • Build leadership depth within the team by developing clear career paths and competency frameworks for accounting and technical expertise.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement—where technical rigor meets consultative excellence.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex customer implementations or compliance reviews.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of total experience, including 5+ years in accounting, finance, or related technical consulting roles.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing senior consultants or architects.
  • Proven background in sales compensation accounting and reporting aligned to ASC340/ASC606.
  • Demonstrated success leading delivery teams in SaaS or enterprise software environments, delivering implementations on a technically complex product.
  • Track record of creating outstanding customer experiences.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills - able to translate complex accounting and data topics for executive and technical audiences.
