Job Mission:

We are looking for expert Professional Services specialists to craft, build, and execute programs that enable partners and customers to deploy our secondary storage solutions
applications.
The ideal candidate is someone who has considerable experience both implementing technical solutions as well as enabling others to do so through training and documentation. These practices will not only focus on the Day 0 experience of installing the solution but also
Integrate it with the applications and operations. In addition to building these solutions, this role will also spend considerable time validating these procedures in the field and guiding partners and customers on how to apply these in their environment.

Responsibilities:

Overview - You will be working with engineering, systems engineers, tech marketing specialists, and customer support to build out professional services practices (installation, integration, applications, migration, scripting) to be used by partners and customers.

Implementation -
● Deliver professional services to Cohesity customers
● Act as onsite manager for key / high-profile implementations
● Cohesity System Installation Development amp; Documentation -
● Write and validate the implementation/integration standard methodologies
● Build knowledgebase articles for design and deployment tips
● Develop pre-installation survey and planning documents to prepare for install
● Develop workflows to validate implementations
● Develop sample post-deployment documentation (run books, pre-deployment templates,
etc)
● Conduct beta testing of procedures for new offerings in the field
● Provide feedback to engineering on ways to improve the implementation experience

Knowledge Sharing -
● Convert standard methodologies into a training curriculum
● Deliver hands-on training in small-group formats
● Mentor trainees in the field
● Assist in the creation of certification exam questions
● Assist in training the field during new product introductions
● Conduct webinars for introductory and ongoing training

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
● Minimum 4 years of IT experience
● Experience in these technical areas is required
○ Operating Systems – Linux, Windows
○ Data Protection
○ Server Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)○ Oracle, SQL, Data Migration
○ BIOS level bootstrap OS installation
○ Disks – SSD NVME, HDD, SSD M2
○ 10 Gb Network cabling
○ Basic TCP/IP Networking – IPv4, DNS, NTP, Firewall


● Additional experience in these areas is helpful:
○ Public Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
○ Public Cloud Storage (AWS S3, AWS Glacier, Azure Blob)
○ Network Dedicated Storage
○ Sophisticated Networking – IPv6, LACP, Tagged VLANs
○ Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance
○ Data Replication
○ Data De-duplication
○ Other Database Types - Protection and Recovery
○ Scripting (bash, Python, PowerShell)
○ Automation using REST API
○ Technical drawings using Visio or equivalent application
○ Hardware experience with qualified vendor systems: HPE, Cisco, Dell, Fujitsu,
Lenovo

● Superb communication and project-related skills are also required
○ Strong verbal communication/presentation skills
○ Strong written skills and the ability to detail
○ The ability to guide others and make them successful
○ Self-starter with excellent organization and time leadership skills
○ The ability to manage projects and to drive to a deadline
