The Team:

The Cohesity People & Places team has gained significant momentum in adding business value. We have built and continue to evolve our HR team across numerous areas; Learning & Development, HR Operations and Talent Management to Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and People Analytics. The success of Cohesity depends on a rich array of products and services that meet, exceed and delight our customers and our People & Places team is in the center of all that we do.

About the Role:

Our People Partner will enable business success, amplify our culture and increase organizational efficiency through Cohesity’s People Strategy partnership across multiple business functions in our Americas region.

This includes:

  • Being a trusted advisor and mentor to business leaders
  • Leading through Culture and Values through language, actions, and the complete employee experience
  • Advising on role structures, organization development and communication requirements to align to business needs
  • Being proactive with leaders who are using teams to achieve our revenue and profitability goals
  • Being a “business first, HR second” HR professional - using HR skills, programs and initiatives to engage with the business
  • Working with peer People and Places HR leaders to provide a “global, then local” approach to organization opportunities and initiatives
  • Delivering all HR programs such as performance assessments, promotions, succession planning, and employee engagement plans with excellence and global consistency
  • Being an advocate, coach and mentor for proactive performance management
  • Using data and metrics to guide decision making
  • Understanding what change management looks like, guiding people managers and leaders to achieve key business outcomes
  • Partnering with People & Places centers of excellence (Learning & Development, Total Rewards and People Analytics)
  • Day-to-day interaction with our HR technology platform tools and applications i.e. Workday, etc.
  • Participating in company-wide talent initiatives and collaborating cross functional for global Cohesity.

What You Bring to the Team

  • BA/BS plus ~ 8 years of relevant & progressive HR experience
  • Experience in Americas HR team partnership; international experience a plus
  • Astute in collaboration with partners, leveraging business and HR knowledge with people managers to define solution options for the business
  • Seeks, collects and synthesizes information from a variety of collaborators and data sources in an objective, unbiased manner to raise awareness to drive business change
  • Ability to engage internal networks and navigate within and across organizations to provide perspectives on talent, business needs, internal politics, building and managing relationships
  • Ownership of HR programs and performance management activities within the business
  • A “business first” mindset of understanding Cohesity’s portfolio of products and services, and using that knowledge to apply HR and People solutions and outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal and English verbal and written communication skills
  • Growing competence in the various HR functional areas: employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, talent management, data and analytics, etc.
  • Prior experience with a technology company a strong plus; software, cloud, IT, data protection, security, storage, networking, etc, etc

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
