The Director, Belonging will lead and execute strategy and programming for our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) efforts. You will lead a global effort and work closely with senior executives and stakeholders, providing an exciting opportunity to lead and influence on a global scale, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/OBJECTIVES:
- Evolve and implement a comprehensive global DEIB strategy aligned with Cohesity’s values and business objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership and People Partners to integrate DEIB goals into overall business plans.
- Partner consistently with the People Operations, People Partner Org, L&D, Talent Acquisition, and People Technology & Analytics to embed a culture of belonging throughout all pillars of our organization.
- Drive Communication and Change Management around the company adopting a belonging mindset.
- Drive awareness and programming around the role managers and employees play in a culture of belonging.
- Design and deliver training, tools and experiences that promote awareness of DEIB and embed belonging into company culture.
- Collaborate with People Team and hiring managers to implement inclusive recruitment practices.
- Launch our global Belonging Communities (formerly Employee Resource Groups or ERGs) and annual Belonging Communities leadership cohort, including leadership development opportunities and a focus on evaluating impact and ROI.
- Establish relationships with external networks and organizations aligned with our DEIB and Belonging Community objectives.
- Collect and analyze data related to DEIB efforts and use insights to inform the DEIB strategy and initiatives. Expand measurements through the Self Identification process and build metrics into talent processes.
- Prepare regular reports for leadership, identifying areas for improvement and success.
- Work with the Senior Director, Culture and Belonging to lead a company culture and programs that enable an exceptional employee experience built upon inclusion, recognition and data-informed People programs and strategies.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:
- 10+ years experience driving DEIB
- Strong understanding of DEIB best practices and trends with the ability to advise on current DEI events, developments and trends and provide thought leadership, particularly with respect to the technology industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights on a macro and micro scale

In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
