Headline: Ever wanted to knit two companies together into the world’s #1 provider?
In December 2024, Cohesity and Veritas combined to become the market leader in data protection software, entrusted by more than 12,000 customers—including more than 85% of the Fortune 500—to protect the world’s most sensitive data. The integration management office (IMO) is at the center of the action, merging disparate systems, processes, and metrics to deliver an efficient, seamless operation that will continue to outperform our competitors long into the future. As a leader in the IMO, you will keep plates spinning on work that is essential to the health and longevity of the company.
Two Directors and one Senior Director form the IMO leadership team reporting to the group head and jointly own the portfolio of transformation initiatives. Your engagement in the transformative work may span functions including sales, customer service, logistics, technology, legal, pricing, data integrity, finance, global trade, partners, systems, and more. Engagement levels vary by initiative, with some being merely connected, others being collaborative, and still others being those you directly manage. The work is interesting and offers a front-row view into how the business works today and how it’s designed for tomorrow.
The best applicants will be amazing strategic thinkers who can use their solid project management skills to orchestrate teams and work but who know that PM frameworks are just the scaffolding that works for the business, not the other way around. To deliver the highest quality outputs, the right person will combine that with outstanding business acumen and a winning attitude.
The IMO team is a nimble collection of enterprise-thinking doers equally unafraid to speak their minds or roll up their sleeves. Integration work requires people who are exceptional at proactively connecting dots, communicating, and doing what needs to be done at any given moment. If you experience complex, ambiguous challenges like they’re brain teasers and you prefer to find solutions over listing why not, this is the home for you.
How you’ll spend your time here:
Manage various initiatives simultaneously, with engagement spanning connection, collaboration, or direct management
Coordinate cross-functionally to drive progress, make connections across initiatives, report on work, and solve problems
Indirectly manage teams of people to help them be effective and deliver the highest quality results for business stakeholders, and to ensure the initiatives complement each other
Communicate often, clearly, and at the right level, keeping key program stakeholders appraised of progress, running effective meetings to drive decision making, following up, and reporting progress
Build and maintain initiative-related documentation, including a walking decks, decision documentation, timelines, reports, summaries, and risk and decision logs, all of which will drive clarity and provide sources of truth in support of and across the various initiatives
We’d love to talk if you have/are many of the following:
Strong project/program management fundamentals
Strategic thinker with experience driving complex initiatives or multiple urgent initiatives simultaneously
T-shaped communicator: able to summarize but can also dive deeply into a topic
Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements and deliver solutions
Reliable and committed: you say what you mean and do what you say
Innately curious, with a desire to get up to speed quickly so you can provide value to a cool company and a long list of hard-working, talented colleagues
Experience interacting with, organizing, communicating with, and delivering results for VP leadership
Strength in operationalizing strategy, including proven experience delivering improvement initiatives
Strong planning skills, from planning your week to planning meetings with stakeholders to planning the project
Excited to precipitate action and clarity from ambiguity
Confident sharing your opinion when it differs from the majority and/or leadership, and clearly stating your rationale; ability to disagree and commit
Comfortable documenting and relaying risks and issues along with remediation options before they become problems
We are extra excited if you have any of the following:
Business consulting experience
Prior work experience at a software technology company, in any capacity
Management experience, especially via influence
Ability to see the bigger picture, look around corners, anticipate what could be most useful, and action needs before being asked
