Cohesity is looking for an experienced finance professional to join the team as a Principal, Finance & Operations FP&A. We’re looking for someone with an analytical mind and strong knowledge of finance, who is a self-starter, a great communicator and passionate about driving change in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This role will provide financial expertise, analytical support, and financial leadership to help influence key business decisions for our Finance, Accounting and Operations teams. This position reports to the Finance Director, G&A

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting and budgeting processes.

  • Support the month/quarter end close activities and reporting processes, accruals, close/forecast packages, and variance analysis with clear explanations for financial results.

  • Present monthly forecast readouts to senior leadership.

  • Build strong relationships with business partners to determine their reporting needs and support their growth initiatives.

  • Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, cost initiatives, and process improvements.

  • Build out new and improve existing finance processes to ensure data integrity and efficient analyses

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities.

  • Continually drive improvements across close, forecast, and planning processes, including establishing best practices

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • A curiosity to learn and take initiative to proactively solve problems independently

  • Flexible and agile with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Ability to understand business issues and be able to clearly and concisely put together recommendations and implementation plans and present to financial and non-financial leaders.

  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills

  • Advanced skills in Excel with the ability to build complex financial models and perform detailed analysis.

  • Solid overall business acumen including accounting/financial experience

  • Attention to detail

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • MBA or equivalent degree a plus

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.

Pay Range :

$159,800.00-$199,750.00
