Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join our high-impact Planning team in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in supporting the global S&OP process through advanced analytics, reporting, and inventory optimization. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing large datasets to uncover insights and drive proactive decision-making. You will be the power user of our in-house Inventory Optimizer tool, helping to shape supply chain strategy through data-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support demand planning, supply planning, and executive S&OP reviews.

  • Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Create and track leading indicators to proactively identify supply chain risks and performance gaps.

  • Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to guide strategic decisions.

Inventory Optimization

  • Manage and continuously improve the Inventory Optimizer tool, ensuring accurate inputs, logic validation, and actionable outputs.

  • Monitor inventory health across global nodes, identifying excess, obsolete, and at-risk stock.

  • Recommend inventory strategies that balance service levels, working capital, and operational efficiency.

S&OP Process Support

  • Collaborate with Demand Planners, Supply Planners, and cross-functional teams to ensure data alignment and process integrity.

  • Prepare data packs and insights for monthly S&OP meetings, including forecast accuracy, inventory trends, and capacity utilization.

  • Support new product introductions (NPIs) and lifecycle transitions with robust planning analytics.

Data Management & Systems

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, NetSuite, Anaplan).

  • Partner with IT and business teams to enhance data pipelines, automate reporting, and improve system usability.

  • Maintain master data and planning parameters to support accurate and timely decision-making.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, planning, or operations in a high-tech or hardware-centric environment.

  • Experience working in global supply chains with exposure to hardware planning, inventory management, and S&OP processes.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel and SQL skills; experience with Python or R is a plus.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Experience with planning systems such as SAP IBP, NetSuite, or Anaplan.

  • Strong understanding of inventory optimization principles and supply chain KPIs.
