Role Overview

Cohesity is seeking a high-impact Area Vice President of Sales to lead our East Strategic Accounts and Canada region. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding strategic enterprise relationships, and leading a senior sales organization focused on large, complex customers.

The AVP will own regional strategy, forecasting, talent development, and execution, partnering closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Alliances, and Product teams to deliver consistent, scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Strategy

  • Own and exceed regional bookings and revenue targets across East Strategic Accounts and Canada

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for large enterprise and strategic customers

  • Drive expansion within existing accounts while opening net-new strategic logos

  • Maintain strong forecasting discipline and pipeline management at scale

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Enterprise and Strategic Account Executives and front-line sales leaders

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent; build a high-performance, accountable sales culture

  • Coach teams on complex deal strategy, executive selling, and value-based outcomes

Customer & Executive Engagement

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with CIOs, CISOs, and senior business leaders

  • Act as an executive sponsor for key strategic accounts

  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales Engineering to align technical strategy with customer outcomes

  • Work closely with Marketing on regional demand generation and strategic events

  • Collaborate with Alliances and Channel partners to expand reach and influence

  • Provide field feedback to Product and Engineering to inform roadmap and innovation

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including 5+ years in senior sales leadership roles

  • Proven success leading large, geographically distributed enterprise sales teams

  • Track record of exceeding revenue targets in complex, high-value deal environments

  • Experience selling enterprise software, preferably in data management, security, cloud, or infrastructure

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders

  • Deep understanding of strategic account planning and long-cycle enterprise sales

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing sales across both U.S. and Canadian markets

  • Background in cybersecurity, data protection, or SaaS platform sales

  • MBA or equivalent business leadership experience

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.

Pay Range :

$440,000.00-$550,000.00

The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.

Current pay transparency shows the OTE (On-Target Earnings) for commission-based roles.
