This positions is in our Santa Clara Office as a hybrid role the expectations are that you will be in the office 2 to 3 days a week
This position requires strong experience in data protection of Microsoft M355 SaaS Products
Cohesity is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our M365 SaaS team is the largest team in Cloud Vertical and is responsible for data protection of Microsoft Office 365 products like Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams - one of the most critical data ecosystems for businesses worldwide. With millions of documents, terabytes of emails, and endless Teams conversations, we deal with unprecedented data volumes that require unique strategies and algorithms to process data efficiently. Keeping pace with the changing nature of products while ensuring seamless protection is a puzzle we solve every day. Our team tackles these challenges head-on with creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for excellence. You’ll work closely with experts in file systems, distributed systems and cloud engineering. Through mentorship, cross-training, and constant learning, you’ll grow your skills in ways you never imagined. HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
- Design, develop and maintain innovative products for our on-prem as well as SaaS offerings
- Monitoring Data Protection of Microsoft 365 products
- Collaborate with product management, other cross functional leads and teams on both technical and business strategy to shape the future product roadmap for Cohesity’s infinitely scalable platform.
- Implement product features for on-prem and cloud platforms.
- Drive accountability for test driven development, delivery of high-quality features and resilient enterprise class solutions.
- Lead a culture of team ownership and direct individual and team accountability to continuously improve how they work and achieve results.
- Participating in Agile development processes.
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Strong M365 experience
- Strong coding experience in any of these languages - C++, Java, Golang
- Previous experience in Data Protection, Filesystems or Storage is a nice-to-have.
- 5-10 years of developing and troubleshooting large scale distributed systems.
- A fast learner and self-starter with intellectual horsepower.
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot).
- Good analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Problem-solver who can dive deep to solve complex problems/issues.
- Bring good testing methodologies and passion for building quality products.
- Knowledge of Microservices, SaaS architecture, Cloud native services is a plus.

Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Pay Range :
The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.
