As a Senior Full Stack Engineer Frontend First) at Docket AI, you will build and evolve application features on top of our core platform. You will work across frontend and application-level backend systems to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-focused products. This role requires strong frontend expertise, solid backend fundamentals, and high ownership in a fast-moving startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build user-facing applications and interfaces ( Mainly web applications ) on top of docketʼs core platform.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain and application-level services.
• Lead implementation of frontend features with clean architecture, scalable state management, and strong UX principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Develop and integrate backend APIs and services required to support frontend functionality.
• Take ownership of features from requirement discussion to production deployment.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Practice Test Driven Development and write reliable unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• At times, work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments as part of end-to-end feature ownership.
  
  

Qualifications

• Frontend and Application Development
• Strong experience building production web applications using React and Next.js
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep knowledge in React. Experience in building applications with state management ( using redux or zustand ) and UI architecture using common patterns and libraries.
• Familiarity with modern styling approaches and component systems such as Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, MUI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, and maintainable UI design. Backend and Systems
• Good experience building application-level backend services using Python and or Node.js.
• Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL, and ORM tools like SQLAlchemy.
• Familiarity with Redis or similar data stores.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and asynchronous programming.
• Basic familiarity with real-time communication patterns such as WebSockets and SSE.
  
  

Engineering Practices

• Good understanding of software engineering principles such as SOLID, clean code, and maintainable abstractions.
• Experience with Test Driven Development or structured testing practices.
• Comfortable working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Basic understanding of containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with AI and LLM-powered application development concepts, with practical experience using AI tools during development while maintaining engineering discipline.
