ABOUT DOCKET
Docket is the AI Sales Operating System built for manufacturers and distributors. We give sales
teams in Industrial Automation, Electric & Power, Building Products, High Tech & Electronics, and
Medical & Life Sciences the intelligence and automation to win more business, faster. Our
customers deal with long sales cycles, complex product catalogs, multi-stakeholder buying
committees, and channel dynamics that generic CRM tools were never designed to handle. Docket
was designed just for that.
We are backed by Mayfield and Foundation Capital and are growing our go-to-market team to
match product momentum.
THE ROLE
This is a pure outbound role. You will be responsible for opening doors at manufacturers and
distributors across North America. No inbound queue. No marketing-warmed leads handed to you.
You build your own pipeline from scratch using cold calls, cold emails, and LinkedIn.
You will report directly to the GM for the Manufacturing Vertical heading sales and work in tight
coordination with our GTM Engineer to run sequences at scale. When you book a meeting, you will
have done the hard part. Closing is the AE's job. Getting us in the room is yours.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Run high-volume outbound every day across cold calling, email, and LinkedIn to VP Sales,
CROs, and CMOs at manufacturers and distributors with 50 to 5,000 employees
• Build and work targeted account lists across Docket's five core verticals: Industrial
Automation, Electric & Power, Building Products, High Tech & Electronics, and Medical & Life
Sciences
• Research accounts for relevant triggers: leadership changes, acquisitions, new product lines,
ERP migrations, distributor expansions, trade show activity
• Craft messaging that speaks the buyer's language, channel complexity, rep productivity, SKU
volume, long sales cycles, distributor relationships, and sales velocity off the trade show floor
• Book qualified discovery and demo meetings and hand them off cleanly to the AE with full
context
• Work with our GTM Engineer to build, test, and refine outbound sequences.
• Share what is working and what is not. This is an early-stage team and your feedback shapes
the playbook
WHO YOU ARE
• 2 to 3 years of SDR experience with a clear record of outbound pipeline generation, not just
lead follow-up
• A phone-first seller. You view cold calling as a skill, not a last resort
• Comfortable walking into a conversation about ERPs, distributor networks, channel conflict,
RFQ processes, or SKU complexity without needing a glossary
• Resourceful. You do not wait for a list to be handed to you. You build one
• Concise and direct in writing. Your emails are short, specific, and worth reading
• Coachable. You take feedback and apply it the next day, not the next quarter
• Familiar with modern outbound tooling: sequencers, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and CRM
hygiene
• Experience selling into manufacturing, distribution, or industrial markets is a meaningful plus.
Fluency in the sector's rhythms, buying cycles, and stakeholder dynamics sets you apart
WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR
• SDRs whose entire experience has been following up on marketing-qualified leads
• Anyone who describes themselves as a 'relationship builder' without a cold outbound track
record to back it up
• People who need a fully built playbook before they can start prospecting
• SDRs who think high call volume and personalization are mutually exclusive
WHY DOCKET
• Direct access to the company founders and leadership team. You will not be managed by a
committee or lost in a large sales org
• A product that solves a real problem buyers recognize within the first two minutes of a
conversation
• Clear path to AE for the right person as the team scales
• A sector that has been underserved by SaaS for decades and is ready for what we are
building
• Backed by top-tier investors with the runway to execute
• Docket is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate candidates based on their skills, track record, and drive.
