About the Role: The Manager of Customer Sales is responsible for leading and developing our team of Account Executives in the small to mid-market business space. In this role, your focus will be implementing sales strategies, performance management, and driving success on your team. The ideal candidate will exhibit grit, focus on organizational excellence, and have the ability to quickly build trust with their team and customers alike.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop members of the sales team to meet and exceed sales and profit targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire, grow, and retain customers.
- Address issues at all stages of pipeline management and actively drive performance on the sales team.
- Assist in resolving challenges that arise throughout the sales and customer expansion process.
- Leverage internal reporting tools to track and analyze sales performance metrics, and identify trends across the business portfolio.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in current sales processes to enhance productivity and remove inefficiencies.
- Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing and Carrier Success, to align strategies and drive company objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the freight industry and,
- 2+ years of experience in a Sales Management role
- Experience working with LTL/Partial shipments preferred
- Strong market knowledge, with a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs
- Possess a strong work ethic, embodying reliability, dedication, and a commitment to achieving high-quality results
- Demonstrate a high level of adaptability
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Proficient in CRM software, Salesforce experience preferred
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with a strong drive to succeed
The expected on-target earnings for this role range from $130,000- $160,000 per year. This range reflects typical earning potential in this role. When determining an offer, we take into account a variety of factors that are important in making compensation decisions including, but not limited, to: skill sets; experience and tenure; education and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is based on market data. Salary bands may, in some circumstances, be adjusted to a different geographic area depending on the candidate's position and location.
In addition to salary, full-time employees are also eligible for an equity package and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Flock Freight. Our policy is that we target candidates local to one of Flock Freight’s headquarters locations (San Diego and Chicago) and ask that employees work in-office.
