At Fortanix we are redefining what cloud security means. We are solving some of the world’s most demanding data security challenges. Our technology maintains data security and privacy throughout its entire lifecycle; not only at rest or in motion, but also during runtime.

At the heart of our business lies our runtime encryption platform, which provides the basis for both our own and our customer’s products. By providing both SaaS and on-premise solutions we enable everyone to employ end-to-end security, no matter their infrastructure or needs.

We are seeking an engineering manager to grow and support our R&D team.

You will:

  • Contribute to a friendly and helpful company culture
  • Guide and support a team of top-notch engineers reporting directly to you

  • Plan and track the development, delivery and operation of state-of-the-art highly reliable software

You are someone who:

  • Exhibits uncompromising integrity
  • Integrates well with and coordinates between different people and teams

  • Helps bring out the best in others

You have:

  • Bachelors/master's in computer science, Engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years of work experience
    • at least 5 years as a technical individual contributor
    • at least 3 years in a managerial position
  • Experience in one of following programming languages Python/GoLang/Rust/C/C++
  • Familiarity with modern software development flows and processes (including git, CI/CD etc.)
  • A solid understanding of distributed systems and REST APIs
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
  • Solid understanding of Agile SW releases, Sprint planning and execution and project management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward completion
  • A proven track record in finding and retaining engineers
  • Fluency in the English language
  • You currently reside in the EU and have a valid EU work permit

We understand that our work can be done mostly remotely and allow you to do so for most of your time. As such we only ask you to join our office on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven only twice a week.
