Fortanix is looking for a Cryptography Software Engineer based in Eindhoven, North Brabant, Netherlands with at least 3+ years of experience in Cryptography. The ideal person will have experience developing in Rust, C/C++,and/or Golang with a track record of delivering quality software.

What you’ll do (Duties and Responsibilities):

• Contribute to a friendly and helpful company culture

• Pay attention to detail, understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs

• Think critically about complex technical challenges

• Implement and integrate new algorithms and maintain production-ready cryptography code in Rust, C/C++, Golang with secure cryptography APIs

• Analyze state-of-the-art attacks and implement side-channel mitigations

• Participate in peer code reviews

• Research, document and educate on new/existing cryptographic algorithms

• Help deploy, monitor, and tune the performance of our software

• Analyze existing designs

What you’ll need (Basic Qualifications)

• At least 3+ years of professional experience as a backend software engineer with contributions to cryptography

• Hands on programming experience in Rust, C/C++ and/or Golang

• Hands on experience working in Linux environment

• A PhD in Cryptography or a related field, or equivalent training or work experience

• You currently reside in the EU and have a valid EU work permit

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• Have Security experience (Crypto, Key Management, PKI)

• Familiarity with git, containers, orchestration tools, NoSQL databases
