About Fulcrum

The $1.5 trillion insurance industry is powered by brokers. Every business needs insurance, and the brokerage industry is hamstrung by account management capacity. Account managers are constantly pulled in multiple directions—keying information into systems, chasing documents, doing mundane work—rather than focusing on the client interactions that actually matter. Most brokerages either outsource this work or grind through it manually.

We're building an AI platform to automate this insurance drudgery. Our platform already saves customers thousands of hours and millions of dollars every year. Our customers love the product— we have deep penetration within enterprise brokerages and genuinely enjoy making our customers' lives better. We just raised our Series A and are just getting started.

Why Fulcrum

  • Rocket-ship growth. We’ve achieved multiple seven figures in ARR in just over a year, serving large enterprise clients including 30% of the top 50 brokers in the country.

  • Extreme ownership. You’ll work directly with enterprise users and ship end-to-end products that save them hours every week.

  • Bleeding-edge problems, real impact. Tackle tough AI and product challenges whose wins show up immediately in customer workflows.

  • In-person collaboration. Join a lean, staff-level team (ex-Affirm, Uber, DoorDash, McKinsey) working side-by-side in San Francisco; we believe the best ideas are fostered in an in-person environment.

  • Top-of-market rewards. Competitive base salary plus meaningful equity.

What You'll Do

As Fulcrum’s Founding Operator, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the leadership team across the hardest, most ambiguous problems the company faces. You’ll move between strategic projects, customer-facing work, analytical deep-dives, and operational builds, putting structure to chaos and shipping outcomes that move the business in days, not quarters. The mandate is unbounded: if something matters and no one else is doing it, you own it.

Strategic Problem Solving & Analytics

  • Take ownership of unstructured, high-stakes problems and convert them into clear frameworks, recommendations, and decisions

  • Drive the analyses behind pricing, commercial strategy etc. across our enterprise customer base

  • Produce board materials and executive narratives that meet a high analytical and storytelling bar

  • Run deep-dives on account health, retention, expansion, and pipeline performance to inform GTM and customer strategy

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Partner with the product team on roadmap prioritization, customer-driven specs, and pilot design

  • Support enterprise deployments alongside customer success, helping the largest brokerages onboard and adopt Fulcrum

  • Build and operationalize GTM workflows, from outbound automations to renewal motions to internal reporting infrastructure

  • Step into whatever the business needs most that week: customer escalations, hiring loops, ops processes, financial modeling. The scope is unbounded

AI-Native Operating Model

  • Treat frontier AI as a co-worker, not a tool. Use it to do the work of three people, and bring others along

  • Build internal AI workflows, agents, and prompts that compress weeks of work into hours

  • Stay at the bleeding edge of model capabilities and proactively bring new use cases into the company

Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for a high-agency, high-motor operator who runs at hard problems, holds a punishingly high internal bar, and is genuinely excited to learn something new every single day.

Required

  • 1 to 4 years of experience at MBB (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or a bulge-bracket / elite boutique investment bank

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to hold your own in front of senior leadership, customers, and investors, and to build rapport quickly

  • Analytical rigor with a high internal quality bar across modeling, written deliverables, and verbal communication. Whether the output is a board page or a pricing model, it ships at a McKinsey partner’s quality bar

  • Genuine humility. You hold the bar high for yourself and others without being precious about it, and you’re easy to work alongside

  • AI-native by default. You’ve already restructured parts of your own workflow around frontier models, you know what’s actually possible today, and you can speak fluently to the differences between top model families

  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate. This is an in-person role.

Strong Plus

  • Exposure to insurance, fintech, vertical SaaS, or other AI-applied businesses

  • Track record of shipping side projects, internal tools, or AI agents on your own time

  • Experience operating at an early-stage startup or owning a P&L workstream in a prior role

  • Experience producing investor-grade or board-level materials at a senior level

What Success Looks Like

You’ll thrive here if your default move when handed an ambiguous problem is to impose structure on it, if you’d rather figure it out than wait for direction, and if you genuinely care about building a category-defining company alongside a small group of people who take the work seriously and have fun doing it.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity.

  • Full health, dental & vision.

  • High-ownership, high-trust culture with lightning-fast executors.

  • Regular team off-sites, dinners, and an office stocked for builders.
