What You’ll Do
- Lead process improvements across domestic and international accounting operations to support SOX 404(b) compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Review monthly P&L results, perform analytical reviews, and oversee account reconciliations.
- Partner with the VP, Corporate Controller to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure strong redundancy and backup coverage for all critical processes.
- Serve as a key leader during month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors and assist with the management of quarterly and annual audit processes.
- Identify issues proactively, implement scalable solutions, and drive process efficiencies across the accounting function.
- Support the Controller in strengthening operational efficiencies, documenting processes, and enhancing internal controls.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to provide ad‑hoc financial analysis that supports business decision‑making and operational strategy.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong quantitative and qualitative problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate alternatives and make objective recommendations.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize and complete projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including ownership of key initiatives and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Advanced technical accounting knowledge, including the ability to draft and review accounting policy memos.
- 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably within public and/or multinational companies.
- Prior experience working as an auditor within a public accounting firm or audit practice preferred.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining internal controls under SOX (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) preferred.
