Agent Deployment Engineer
iLife
About InfrasAI:
InfrasAI (formerly iLife Technologies) is a high-growth fintech and insurtech startup backed by top VCs, the same investors behind Uber, Netflix, Slack, and Ring.
InfrasAI helps financial services and insurance companies use AI Agents to build and QA complex workflow mappings at the speed of thought, with a streamlined human-in-the-loop process to ensure Enterprise grade accuracy and compliance.
We're scaling quickly and need builders who can think and ship at the same speed, and hit the ground running.
About the Role:
This is not a traditional engineering or engineering manager role.
An Agent Deployment Engineer at InfrasAI wears two hats, working directly with clients to uncover deeper opportunities behind their needs, and building and deploying the agentic AI Agents that unlock them.
The #1 skill we're hiring for isn't technical. It's the ability to sit across from a customer, hear their needs, and ask the question that unlocks the most value for them: "Is this even the right place to start, or is there a bigger opportunity here?"
The engineers who thrive here are the ones who ask "should we even be solving this?" before asking "how do we solve this?" and can articulate why to anyone in the room.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end agent deployment for new enterprise clients and POCs, from discovery through go-live
- Lead working sessions with client teams to uncover deeper opportunities, not just surface requirements
- Design and ship agentic AI Agents independently or within a small team of 1–3, owning the full stack while naturally managing the product and project along the way.
- Translate ambiguous business needs into concrete multi-agent architectures and then build them
- Contribute to internal R&D: prototype new agent patterns and push the frontier of what InfrasAI can deliver
- Proactively manage risks, timelines, and client expectations across time zones
What We're Looking For:
- First-Principles Reasoning You question problems before solving them. You can articulate clearly and compellingly, verbally and in writing, why a problem is or isn't worth solving, and what the bigger opportunity might be. This skill will be evaluated directly in the interview process.
- Agentic AI Fundamentals You have hands-on experience building with agentic AI, not just working alongside it. You've personally built and shipped agent-based systems and can speak to the full stack of what that means in practice.
- Communication Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, you can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Client-Facing Presence You run sharp discovery conversations, ask questions clients haven't thought to ask, and translate what you learn directly into technical direction. You're as effective in a customer call as you are in a code editor.
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary + equity + outcome-based performance bonus
