We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to the CTO who will help act as a sounding board for strategic decision-making, execution, and accounting. We are open to a range of backgrounds and experiences, but a technical foundation is a must, combined with operational sensibility and an interesting in organizational theory.

Because we are open to a wide range of experiences, your projects will be set based on your demonstrated track record and capability to handle increasing ambiguity.

Typical projects might include analyzing org-wide time use (e.g. meetings), executing on events including those involving technical staff (e.g. our annual company retreat), performing analysis on performance and compensation frameworks, inventorying project outcomes, running retros, enhancing digital communications, modeling the financial impact of various decisions, building relationships with current team members, interviewing prospective team members, and executing on any sort of project the CTO might perform without you.

Your goal is to work with and through the org, which means you must be interested in and have experience with working alongside smart team members for which you have no formal reporting structure. You must be patient and analytical, with experience in high stress environments and demonstrated pain tolerance. You must be a fast learner investing in their own growth. You must curate a strong information diet and time management. You must demonstrate practical understanding of the Pareto Principle.
