As a Financial Analyst in Strategic & GTM Finance at ThoughtSpot, you will play a crucial role in shaping and monitoring the company’s financial performance during a pivotal growth phase. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a leading global tech company on its journey toward an IPO. In this role, you will work closely with team members to deliver strategic insights, develop and enhance financial models, and drive key financial initiatives. Additionally, you will conduct ad-hoc analyses and support the monthly close process, ensuring that data-driven decision-making underpins the company’s long-term success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO?
Enhance data quality by implementing robust data validation processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial datasets to support reliable reporting and decision-making.
Streamline reporting processes by identifying inefficiencies and leveraging automation tools, resulting in more timely and accurate financial insights for stakeholders.
Assist in the development and refinement of financial models that support strategic planning and decision-making.
Perform in-depth financial analyses to identify trends, assess performance, and provide actionable insights that drive business growth and improve financial outcomes.
Assist in the preparation of executive-level presentations and reports, clearly communicating financial performance, trends, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Participate in ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and tools across the organization.
WHAT YOU BRING?
Experience: 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, strategic finance, or related roles, preferably within a SaaS or technology environment.
Data Management: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to data quality, with experience implementing processes that ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Reporting Proficiency: Experience in developing and streamlining financial reports, utilizing tools such as Excel or BI software to present complex data clearly and effectively.
Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive alignment on financial goals and initiatives.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of conducting detailed financial analyses
Financial Modeling: Familiarity with building and refining financial models to support strategic decision-making and performance evaluation.
Adaptability: A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
