About the Role:
As the Principal Product Manager – Data Modeling, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution for data modeling capabilities within our platform. You’ll be responsible for defining the product roadmap, collaborating with engineering and design teams, and ensuring seamless integration with the broader ThoughtSpot ecosystem.

What You'll Do:

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for data modeling, focusing on AI-assisted semantic modeling, data cataloging, and more.

  • Engage with data engineers, analysts, and technical users across our customer base to understand their challenges and build a best-in-class data modeling and transformation experience.

  • Partner with engineering and UX teams to design and deliver scalable, high-performance modeling solutions.

  • Drive integration strategies with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and others.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and customer success to support go-to-market strategies.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends in data modeling, analytics, and AI-driven BI to ensure ThoughtSpot remains a leader in the space.

  • Define and track key metrics to measure success and improve adoption.


What You'll Bring:

  • 7-10 years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS, with a proven track record of shipping data-centric products.

  • Deep expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and semantic modeling.

  • Strong understanding of data transformations and orchestration within modern data architectures.

  • Experience working with data analysts, data engineers, and technical users, translating their needs into intuitive product experiences.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift).

  • Familiarity with data catalogs, dbt, or other modern data transformation tools.

  • Knowledge of AI/ML workflows and their applications in analytics.

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or scaling organization.
