We're looking for operationally-minded Financial Analyst to own company consolidations, allocated spending tracking, and system excellence in our financial planning infrastructure. Sitting within a lean, high-impact finance team at a fast-growing global AI and Agentic Tools company, you will bring financial rigor, analytical depth, and systems thinking to how we manage spend visibility, fund allocation, and consolidated financial reporting.

This role is on the core operational finance team, working for the Director of Finance – Budget and Cost Management. You will directly contribute to the company's monthly consolidation close process, allocated spend transparency, and continuous improvement of our Abacum FPA platform. You will be chartered to ensure that every dollar allocation is tracked, understood, and optimized across the organization.

What you'll do:

Company Consolidations & Financial Reporting

  • Own the monthly consolidation process — partner with Finance Systems, subsidiary finance teams, and cost centers to collect, validate, and consolidate global financial data.
  • Build and maintain consolidated P&L reporting frameworks, bridging subsidiary operations with corporate reporting standards.
  • Manage inter-company eliminations, currency translation, and consolidation adjustments — ensuring accuracy and auditability.
  • Produce monthly consolidation narratives and variance analyses to support board and CFO-level reporting.
  • Support audit processes, including SOX compliance and external audit preparations.

Allocated Spending Visibility & Analysis

  • Design and maintain allocated spending models — translating corporate costs (shared services, infrastructure, corporate overhead) into cost center allocations.
  • Partner with Finance Leadership to define allocation methodologies and drive adoption across cost centers.
  • Conduct detailed allocated spend analysis — identifying inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities to optimize allocation drivers.
  • Build reporting views that provide cost center leaders real-time visibility into their direct and allocated spend.

Ad Hoc Financial Analysis & Business Insights

  • Drive ad hoc analysis on spending trends, cost driver variance, and efficiency metrics — translating complex data into clear, decision-ready insights.
  • Conduct scenario modeling and impact analysis for strategic spending decisions (M&A, restructuring, investment scenarios).
  • Support cross-functional initiatives on cost optimization, headcount productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the broader finance team to identify and quantify operational improvement opportunities.

Continuous Improvement through Systems and AI Applications

  • Own system administration for Abacum — managing dimensions, hierarchies, driver definitions, and system configuration to support consolidations, allocations, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain workflows, rules engines, and consolidation processes that support our monthly close and reporting cycle.
  • Establish data governance standards and validation protocols to ensure data integrity in the FPA system.
  • Ensure the tool has deep engagement across the teams from first onboarding.
  • Build ThoughtSpot liveboards to manage the cost tracking and budget compliance across the company.
  • Apply AI and agent-based tools to improve consolidation accuracy, forecasting, and reporting workflows.

What you bring:

Experience:

  • 2+ years of financial analysis and planning experience in a SaaS, B2B technology, or global business environment.
  • Proven experience with company consolidations, inter-company transactions, or complex financial close processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Abacum, Adaptive Insights, Planful, Anaplan, Pigment, or similar FP&A planning and modeling tools.
  • Experience designing and managing allocated spend models or cost allocation methodologies.

Analytical Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical rigor and attention to detail — ability to manage large, complex data sets with precision.
  • Strong financial modeling skills with ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear narratives and insights.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Deep expertise in financial planning or consolidation tools; willingness to own system administration, configuration, and improvement.
  • Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Experience building dashboards or reporting layers (Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or similar) to provide financial visibility.

AI & Data-Driven Finance:

  • Stay current on emerging AI capabilities. Previously demonstrated ability to apply AI tools or agents to improve consolidation, forecasting, or reporting processes.

Process Improvement:

  • Proactive mindset — constantly seeking to streamline consolidation workflows, improve data quality, and scale processes across multiple entities.

Global & Cross-Cultural:

  • Experience working across multiple time zones and with globally distributed teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a STEM field
