About the position:
Join our MoonPay Compliance Team as a Screening Analyst! In this role, you'll be a vital part of our Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), ensuring MoonPay operates in strict compliance with all legal, regulatory, and Group standards related to Sanctions Compliance and anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).
Your key responsibilities include reviewing screening alerts, facilitating informed decisions on reputational and other risks, and aligning with regulatory and compliance stakeholders' expectations.
Our ideal candidate is a self-driven, curious professional experienced in Sanctions, AML/BSA, screening alerts, investigations, and Sanctions reporting. Investigate, analyze and resolute sanctions & other screening alerts;
Conduct analysis of customer transactional activity (e.g. crypto trading, money movement, etc.) from sanctions perspective;
Work with team members to determine whether to close cases, escalate findings and/or file a report with agencies such such as Office of Foreign Assets Control;
Observing sanctions regulatory reporting requirements;
Conduct research using available systems and proprietary tools to identify relevant information;
Keep up-to-date with industry news and developments both in OFAC and BSA/AML, as well as in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
Skills & Experience:
A passion for harnessing the power of digital currency and blockchain technology and services built on top of it;
Expertise of AML and Sanctions regulations, risks and typologies;
Approx. 3 years of relevant experience in the financial sector, particularly in FinTech and/or crypto, with a preference for experience in sanctions and/or screening;
Proven track record of interpreting large amounts of complex information and extracting facts objectively;
Ability and passion to learn and adapt quickly, as the crypto space are constantly evolving;
First-rate decision making skills, bias for action and sound judgment;
Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail;
Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities and learn new tools quickly;
Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.
CGSS/ACAMS/ ACFCS or ICA accreditation.
Experience with blockchain analytics software.
Crypto compliance certifications.
