About the Opportunity ✍️

Join our MoonPay Compliance Team as our BSA/AML Officer! In this role, you'll be a vital part of our Compliance leadership team, ensuring MoonPay operates in strict compliance with all legal, regulatory, and Group standards related to Sanctions Compliance and anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).

As a key stakeholder in Moonpay’s US AML Compliance program, your key responsibilities include managing the day to day operation of the US AML program and ensuring that all processes and decisions align with regulatory requirements and expectations.

What you will do…

• File Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) based upon escalations from investigative teams

• Provide oversight and decisioning of high risk customers and KYC escalations

• Be the face of the US AML program to regulators and during regulatory examinations

• Ensure completion of the periodic BSA/AML/OFAC risk assessment

• Coordinate and ensure completion of annual AML Independent Assessment

• Ensure timely completion of any identified issues related to the US AML program

• Draft and keep up to date all policies and processes related to the US AML and sanctions program

• Provide annual AML Training to the Board of Directors

• Keep up-to-date with industry news and developments both in OFAC and BSA/AML, as well as in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.

About You

• A passion for harnessing the power of digital currency and blockchain technology and services built on top of it;

• Expertise of AML and Sanctions regulations, risks and typologies;

• Approx. 7+ years of relevant experience in the financial sector, particularly in FinTech and/or crypto;;

• Ability and passion to learn and adapt quickly, as the crypto space are constantly evolving;

• First-rate decision making skills, bias for action and sound judgment;

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail;

• Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities and learn new tools quickly;

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.

Bonus Qualifications…

• CGSS/ACAMS/ ACFCS or ICA accreditation.

• Experience with blockchain analytics software.

• Crypto compliance certifications.
