Job Description

The Desktop Support Technician and IT Training Coordinator will support the day-to-day IT needs of our entire user base spanning multiple locations, including remote workers, across a multitude of technologies; as well as coordinating and providing IT training to end users. The technician will work closely with the Director of IT Services to develop and execute IT training initiatives for our end users. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues to ensure the smooth operation of employees' IT systems. The technician will work closely with end-users to resolve technical problems, assist with installations, and ensure that workstations are properly maintained and configured.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond and resolve user support requests troubleshooting both hardware and software issues.
  • Leading our end user training and development program collaborating with Director of IT Services.
  • Acts as an onsite technical resource for all office staff.
  • Assisting with the onboarding and offboarding of end users.
  • Assist in quarterly scheduled maintenance across a growing end-user base.
  • Assist the Director of IT Services with the planning and implementation of large-scale projects.
  • Ongoing special projects as they arise.
  • Ongoing training for IT advancement.
  • Flexibility to accommodate users across multiple time zones.
  • Some communication/escalation outside normal hours, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience working with Office 365, iOS, Active Directory, and Helpdesk Ticket Systems are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred, or a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with both Windows and MacOS platforms is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to complete work on a computer while sitting or standing at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks which may require working in positions that require bending, flexing, and sitting for prolonged periods of time. For example, this job may involve organizing and sorting and/or moving office equipment, packaging and mailing merchandise for employees and/or clients, assisting with the setup and breakdown of events for both small and large gatherings.

Travel Requirements

  • This role may involve traveling to various Appcast office locations on a quarterly basis.

Fair Labor Standards Act Status

  • Salaried Non-Exempt: Personnel will earn their regular salary and be entitled to overtime pay when they work over 40 hours in a workweek
