NextRoll is seeking a VP of FP&A (Finance Planning & Analysis) to play a key role in NextRoll's growth, profitability, and achievement of excellence. You will partner with top-level executives and stakeholders across the company to drive transformational changes within NextRoll and within the Finance department. You will lead and manage the company's performance assessment, business forecasting and planning processes, and data-driven executive-level reporting that helps the leadership team make timely decisions. Reporting to our CFO, you will partner closely with our senior leadership team to plan and allocate resources and capital to support our strategic initiatives. You have a track record of successfully owning and leading budget and forecasting cycles from start to finish for $200M+ revenue, hands-on experience in scaling and improving finance and operational processes, exceptional partnership, influence, and communication skills, and can manage several priorities.

This role is open to Remote and able to work Pacific Standard Time zone hours.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Enterprise Forecasting and Budgeting - work with operational teams and business leaders to gather insights into business trends to update monthly forecasts; lead the enterprise-wide annual budget process and the long-term planning models including consolidating inputs across the organization and having informed and data-driven perspectives on results, responsible for monthly executive P&L reporting and being able to present monthly results to Executive Team.
  • Own company reporting process for all financial and Key Business Performance Metrics. Continuously improve NextRoll's performance assessment processes, including linking key business metrics with their respective operational drivers. Oversee consolidation and reporting across NextRoll and prepare management and board reporting/dashboards, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk and operating performance, and communicating key messages to senior management.
  • Maintain a risk and opportunity assessment of monthly forecast, annual plan and key performance indicators. Ensure visibility to forward-looking P&L, cash flow, and Key external Business Metrics is in place, and we can effectively project and predict performance. Provide the analytical foundation for the prioritization and allocation of capital in support of company priorities.
  • Financial Analytics - develop and deliver ad hoc analyses whereby results address current business challenges and answer questions regarding future financial scenarios. Your goal would be to draw conclusions that will help craft strategy through fact-based insights. Also, prepare any supplemental Board of Directors' presentations and other strategic material for management as needed.
  • Partner with Functional Leads as a strong, vocal, and professional business partner to functions. Assist them with understanding drivers and trends in their business, identify growth opportunities. Develop ideas with organization leaders into strategic business plans including financial outcomes. Work with business partners across all functions on a tactical level to provide analytical rigor and establish meaningful, useful metrics in order to better manage the business and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Leadership and management of an impactful team - with a focus on individual development and coaching, team building, efficient prioritization, and delivery of high-quality output whilst meeting key deadlines.

Skills you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 15 years of total experience in Finance. Of the 15 years, minimum 7 years of experience in Finance leadership roles leading a successful team in FP&A.
  • Master’s degree in Finance/Business preferred. BA/BS degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. CPA is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, project management, and data-driven financial modeling abilities including advanced skills in Excel (or equivalent), along with working knowledge of GAAP to facilitate understanding of forecast and budget results.
  • Experience in overseeing improvements and maintenance of Anaplan or Adaptive Planning or any other well-known planning tools.
  • FP&A experience in SaaS or other software or technology industry experience.
  • Results-oriented team player and a hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves-styled leader, who leads by example, enjoys developing team members, demonstrates initiative and motivation, and holds themselves accountable for performance.
  • Ability to communicate succinctly to the audience outside Finance and to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Additional Information:

Minimum salary of $263,000 to maximum salary of $324,450 + bonus + equity + benefits.

The range provided is NextRoll’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
