The Role
As a QE Platform Engineer at OnePay, your work will directly impact the stability and performance of our systems. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining our test automation frameworks and tooling that supports our engineering squads across web, mobile, and backend. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases at scale.
You will:
Design and implement robust, scalable, and reliable automated testing solutions for APIs, mobile, and web
Build and optimize test tooling that integrates seamlessly into our continuous deployment pipelines. Contribute to strategies for device coverage and test infrastructure
Help drive improvements in test execution stability and test coverage across multiple platforms
Define, monitor, and refine quality metrics and reporting that enable teams to take action based on data
Integrate test execution and observability with our CI/CD workflows (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Datadog, Terraform, etc..)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold best practices in software quality and testing
Solve complex problems that arise at scale. We deal with real-world money movement, sensitive financial data at scale, and are creating novel financial mechanics with no real precedent.
Work closely with other engineers to ship code. We enjoy collaboration and partnering on hard problems.
You Bring
4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, DevOps, or related engineering roles
Production-level coding experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js with advanced proficiency in modern testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, and Vitest
Working knowledge of CI/CD infrastructure and DevOps tools
Hands-on experience building complex test automation solutions for client applications across web and mobile, including UI, performance, and end-to-end testing
Familiarity with testing best practices for UI, API, regression, and mobile
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ownership mindset
