OpenSea’s Counter-Illicit Finance & Sanctions Compliance program is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Product Compliance Program Manager. The individual in this role must have a proven ability of working with Engineering teams to ensure compliance requirements are deployed per compliance policies and best practices. The individual will be expected to work cross-functionally with personnel across the organization, and is expected to have a background working in financial crimes compliance and/or OFAC sanctions compliance programs.
This position is fully remote.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Engineering teams to ensure Compliance requirements are built to policy.
Develop project plans and product requirements for new compliance requirements or enhancements to existing requirements.
Ensure existing technical implementation of the program continues to function as intended, and that new requirements are implemented correctly.
Identify areas of enhancement at the policy and procedure level for the program.
Support other areas of the Counter-Illicit Finance and Sanctions Compliance program as required.
Requirements:
6+ years experience working in financial crimes compliance or OFAC sanctions compliance programs.
Previous program management experience within a financial crimes compliance or OFAC sanctions compliance program is required.
Previous experience working in product compliance or a similar role is required.
Previous experience working in crypto/Web3 is required.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to identify issues or gaps and propose solutions.
Ability to translate compliance policies into technical requirements.
Ability to write project plans and product requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working within OFAC sanctions compliance programs or with OFAC sanctions requirements.
Experience with SQL/technical expertise is helpful.
The base salary for this full-time position, which spans across multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $120,000 to $175,000 plus benefits & equity.
