Our Sales team is seeking a Director of Sales responsible for leading Rival’s Account Executive team, setting sales goals and establishing strategies to meet new business goals and to drive revenue for the organization. The Director of Sales provides support, guidance, and mentorship for a team of sales professionals and monitors and reports on team metrics.

This is a salaried, exempt position with a competitive range of $140k-160k annually, in accordance with experience and qualifications, plus opportunity for commission. Your contributions to Rival will include:

  • Driving new business to meet or exceed team revenue goals; meeting or exceeding quarterly management objectives and revenue targets.
  • Executing strategic direction for sales team and creating and implementing training, mentoring and development programs to optimize performance.
  • Designing a data driven approach to targeting, selling, forecasting, and closing while monitoring and reporting on team metrics.
  • Identifying best practices, proposing innovative solutions, and sharing ideas to leverage effective methods for the entire sales team.
  • Driving accountability across the Account Executive organization regarding metrics (activity, quota), tool usage, and process execution.
  • Identifying any gaps or deficiencies in sales pipeline and process and implementing growth plans to close any gaps.
  • Executing marketing strategy and messaging to drive interest in Rivals products while providing feedback on effectiveness.
  • Performing detailed qualification of opportunities and formulating consultative sales strategies, territories, and technical approaches.
  • Helping sales team develop soft skills including self-awareness and control, self-motivation, resilience, empathy, active listening, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Developing VP/C-level relationships with prospective customers to identify strategic opportunities that align to Rival’s value drivers.
  • Creating and sustaining an exciting, high-performance work environment that helps inspire and motivate sales success.
  • Working cross-functionally as a member of Rival’s Senior Leadership Team to influence product direction and professional services project delivery, ensuring customer needs are met.
