Associate Solutions Architect
Tennr
🚀 Associate Solutions Architect (NYC - In Person)
Location: New York City (on-site)
Employment Type: Full-time, Early Career
About Tennr
When your doctor needs to refer you to a specialist (e.g., for sleep apnea), that process still often starts with a fax — a 20+ page PDF with handwritten notes and no standardization. It’s a mess. Tennr built RaeLLM™, a 7B-parameter language model trained on millions of real healthcare documents, to automate the manual, error-prone referral process.
Our system reads clinical documentation, coordinates with providers to fill in missing information, and texts patients to get them scheduled — helping them get better, faster.
We’re a NYC-based, YC-backed startup supported by Andreessen Horowitz, Foundation Capital, and The New Normal Fund. We’re building a team of fast-moving, interdisciplinary operators to take on the most broken workflows in healthcare. And we’re hiring.
About the Role
We’re looking for Associate Solutions Architects — smart, curious, early-career professionals who want to work on meaningful problems and grow into full-stack healthcare solution designers.
As an Associate SA, you’ll work closely with experienced Solutions Architects to learn Tennr’s platform, understand healthcare operations, and support implementation efforts for real customers. While you won’t immediately own accounts or lead projects, you’ll be actively involved in supporting existing ones — joining customer calls, helping drive execution, and contributing to meaningful deliverables from day one. This is a learning-focused role designed to build the skills and context needed to take on account ownership as you grow.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical foundations, clear communication skills, and a consultative mindset — someone who’s excited to work with customers to improve (not just replicate) broken manual processes. You’ll graduate from this role with the experience, confidence, and capability to lead implementations as a Mid-Market SA.
What You’ll Do
-
Support Implementation Work
Help experienced SAs with execution of customer implementations and workflow buildouts
Maintain up-to-date architecture documentation and implementation specs
Prepare materials for customer meetings and follow-up communications
-
Learn the Platform
Gain hands-on experience building on Tennr’s proprietary platform
Contribute to reusable modules, workflow tuning, and automation design
-
Ramp on Healthcare Ops
Join customer discovery and scoping sessions to deeply understand their operational pain points
Learn to take a consultative approach to help customers improve (not just replicate) their workflows before we automate them
-
Grow into Customer Ownership
Learn the fundamentals of account management: building strong partnerships, running meetings, and owning tactical execution
With coaching, begin to take on more responsibility toward leading scoped implementations
-
Collaborate with Product & Engineering
Act as the eyes and ears of the company on customer pain points, usage patterns, and unmet needs
-
Partner with product and engineering teams to inform roadmap prioritization and refine existing tools
What We’re Looking For
-
Strong technical fundamentals
A degree or minor in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is strongly preferred
Alternatively, candidates without a formal technical degree should have a clear body of technical work — internships, open-source contributions, or independent projects that demonstrate fluency in areas like APIs, systems design, or data workflows
You should be able to ramp quickly on complex systems and adapt as new tools are introduced
-
Clear communicators
You can break down complex ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences
Comfortable asking questions, working cross-functionally, and engaging externally with customers
-
Team-first attitude
Willing to pitch in across functions and take ownership of tasks both big and small (this is an often overlooked, but important part of working at a startup)
Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
-
Customer-centric & consultative mindset
Motivated by solving real-world operational challenges, not just writing code
-
Interested in learning the “why” behind customer workflows — and helping make them better
Nice to Haves (but Not Required)
Internship or academic experience in tech, consulting, healthcare, or operations
Experience working in a startup, research lab, or similarly fast-paced, team-driven environment
Exposure to client-facing or cross-functional collaboration
