Company Description
Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist (e.g., for sleep apnea), your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, “They’ll be in touch soon.” So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often specialists and medical services are overwhelmed with referrals and the painstakingly manual process it takes to qualify your referral prevents them from getting around to it on time, or sometimes at all. Tennr prevents these delays and denials by making sure every referral gets where it needs to go, with the right info, at the right time. Powered by RaeLM™ Tennr reads, extracts, and acts on every piece of patient information so providers can capture more referrals, slash denials, and reduce delays.
Role Description
Tennr is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Business Operations team and help bring structure to the chaos as we scale. You’ll be responsible for core FP&A activities, especially around operating expenses, and work cross-functionally to support smarter decision-making across the business.
You’ll report to the Senior Manager of Finance and collaborate closely with our outsourced accounting firm, as well as internal teams in Marketing, Sales, and Operations. This is an opportunity to gain meaningful ownership in a high-impact area, with room to grow as the finance function expands.
Responsibilities
Lead monthly operating expense forecasting and actualization across headcount, marketing, commissions, and other functions
Track and categorize actuals in partnership with our outsourced accounting team using QuickBooks
Own key planning processes for departmental budgets and hiring forecasts
Analyze variance to budget and identify actionable insights for business partners
Maintain and improve core models in Excel/Google Sheets to support short- and long-term planning
Participate in monthly close by ensuring accurate categorization and reconciliations of spend
Support storytelling and board-level prep with crisp reporting and insights
Build relationships across departments to proactively gather context, pressure-test assumptions, and drive alignment
Candidate Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in corporate finance, preferably with exposure to FP&A
Bonus: Experience in SaaS or working with sales/marketing expense planning
Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with QuickBooks, Ramp, and Salesforce is a plus
Detail-oriented and comfortable managing complexity in a fast-moving environment
Scrappy and action-oriented—you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves
Strong communicator who can synthesize data into clear narratives for different audiences
Collaborative and cross-functional mindset with experience supporting multiple teams
Excited by the opportunity to help shape finance at a fast-growing startup
