Company Description
Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist (e.g., for sleep apnea), your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, “They’ll be in touch soon.” So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often specialists and medical services are overwhelmed with referrals and the painstakingly manual process it takes to qualify your referral prevents them from getting around to it on time, or sometimes at all. Tennr prevents these delays and denials by making sure every referral gets where it needs to go, with the right info, at the right time. Powered by RaeLM™ Tennr reads, extracts, and acts on every piece of patient information so providers can capture more referrals, slash denials, and reduce delays.
Role Description
The IT Support Specialist ensures Tennr runs smoothly behind the scenes—keeping our team connected, secure, and equipped to do their best work. This is a hands-on, generalist role responsible for IT onboarding and offboarding, hardware and software support, and internal tool administration. You’ll manage day-to-day IT operations and play a key role in implementing new tools and lightweight automations. You will be the first line of defense for internal tech issues and will help scale our IT systems as the company grows.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys solving tech puzzles, and is excited by the challenge of supporting a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes: provision and ship equipment, set up software access, and ensure a smooth Day 1 experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests, resolving hardware, software, and access issues across Mac and Windows environments
Track and maintain inventory of laptops, peripherals, and other IT equipment; coordinate with vendors as needed
Administer and maintain internal SaaS tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Notion, Okta)
Support integration of new internal tools (e.g., HRIS, CRM, helpdesk platforms) with lightweight configuration and automation
Document IT processes and policies; develop internal knowledge base content for employees
Enforce security best practices, including MFA, encryption, and endpoint management
Help set up and maintain conference room AV, office networking, and shared spaces
Collaborate with People Ops and other cross-functional teams to continuously improve IT onboarding and employee experience
Candidate Qualifications
2+ years in an IT support, IT operations, or generalist role
Comfortable working across Mac and Windows devices
Familiar with Google Workspace Admin, Okta, and other cloud-based admin consoles
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills—you enjoy learning and helping others
Experience with an MDM solution (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, Intune) is a plus
Familiarity with internal tool integrations, scripting (Bash, Python), or tools like Zapier is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear documentation
A self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, startup environments
