Senior People Systems Partner
About the Role
The Senior People Systems Partner is an individual contributor responsible for owning and evolving the People technology ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of HR, systems, and automation, ensuring our HR tech stack is reliable, scalable, secure, and well-integrated with the broader business systems landscape.
This role is ideal for someone with strong HRIS expertise and deep technical capability, including backend configurations, integrations, APIs, and data flows. You will partner closely with Business Systems and AI Automation teams to modernize People workflows and reduce manual work across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
People Systems Ownership
- Own the People technology stack, including HRIS and related People tools.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize system settings, workflows, permissions, and data structures.
- Ensure systems support People processes accurately across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, changes, offboarding, reporting).
- Act as the primary point of accountability for People systems health, People data reliability, and scalability.
Integrations, APIs & Technical Enablement
- Manage and maintain backend integrations between People systems and other internal platforms (e.g., payroll, finance, IT, analytics).
- Own API configurations, data syncs, and automation triggers related to People systems.
- Partner with Business Systems and AI Automation teams to design and implement end-to-end automated workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues, identifying root causes and implementing durable fixes.
Data Integrity, Security & Governance
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across People systems and downstream tools.
- Partner on access controls, role-based permissions, and data privacy requirements.
- Establish and maintain system governance standards, including change management and documentation.
- Support routine audits and compliance-related system needs as required.
Process & Platform Optimization
- Translate People team requirements into scalable system solutions.
- Proactively identify opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate manual steps, and improve system usability.
- Evaluate new tools or platform capabilities that could improve the People tech stack.
- Support testing, rollout, and adoption of system enhancements.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with the People team to understand needs and prioritize system improvements.
- Collaborate with Business Systems, IT, Security, and AI Automation partners to align on architecture and standards.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for People systems decisions.
Documentation & Enablement
- Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, integrations, and workflows.
- Support enablement for People team users through clear guidance and process documentation.
- Ensure system knowledge is documented to reduce single points of failure.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in HRIS, People Systems, or HR technology roles.
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and managing HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob, Workday, Rippling, SuccessFactors, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience with APIs, integrations, data flows, and backend system configurations.
- Comfort working closely with engineering, business systems, and automation teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex system issues.
- Experience supporting global workforces and multi-country People systems is a plus.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
