We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to help us manage that complexity using modern software tools and proven PM practices. We're looking for that unicorn who thrives on bringing order to chaos, finds satisfaction in analyzing metrics to draw conclusions, possesses the ability to present their findings graphically for broad comprehension, and excels in achieving results without the need for formal organizational authority. About the Role:

  • Facilitate tactical planning for execution of technical tasks for multiple interdependent teams
  • Continuously ensure tactical alignment between teams across the organization
  • Monitor, analyze, and report the progress of multiple teams toward internal and external milestones, identifying and communicating any schedule-related risks
  • Support technical leads in strategic planning and roadmap representation
  • Help enforce and encourage good Jira hygiene

Must Haves:

  • High proficiency with Jira
  • Analytical mindset
  • Good written, verbal, and data visualization communication skills; verbal, written, and ability to effectively represent data visually/graphically
  • Organizational skills
  • Inter-personnel skills; able to influence others without organizational authority

Nice to Haves:

  • Previous experience at a tech startup
  • Previous experience in the space industry
  • Previous experience at a company developing complex embedded systems
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Previous experience working with an international team across large time zone differences
  • Demonstrated ability to automate processes, reports, and alerts
  • Previous experience with various Agile methodologies, like Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc
  • Previous experience with Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices
  • Previous experience managing projects

Loft Orbital builds “shareable” satellites, providing a fast & simple path to orbit for organizations that require access to space. Our standard interface enables us to fly multiple customer payloads on the same satellite, with capabilities such as earth imagery, weather & climate /science data collection, IoT connectivity, in-orbit demonstrations, and national security missions.
