The Person We Want: Sales Account Executive. The best description of this role is the Man in the Arena metaphor – this is an ode to the individual who enters the sales arena and though they may stumble and fall, they know there is no greater service than to follow their passion and purpose, winning new customers. The credit belongs to those who risk defeat, humiliation and yet are purposeful in their conviction towards success. Some things we consider: Curious about customers and solutions, high IQ behavior; Domain understanding, interest and experience; Strong understanding of platforms, products and services; A focus on being analytical and qualitative; Deep knowledge of their business, their patch and named accounts; A personal drive to get it done, compete and Quarterback the deals; A desire to help the company, give product and solutions feedback and be both a “bull in China shop” and a “diplomat” to work within the organization. We think you will have – we still are open minded and could be wrong – the following background: At least 3-5 years experience in enterprise IT or software sales experience; Really good knowledge of the DevOps space; A proven sales hunter and closer; Experience in managing and owning the full sale cycle from lead to closing the deal; Proven track record of over-achieving sales goals; Responsible for building and managing a sales pipeline; Exceeding your number- Winning new logos, and upselling/cross-selling; Collaborating with other teams, including sales engineering and sales development.
