Role Overview:
At Trust Lab, our Business Development Representatives are pivotal to our company’s success, playing a critical role in our sales and marketing efforts. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing sales team and will be our boots-on-the-ground solution to building personal relationships and making our prospective customers successful. Specifically, you will leverage your past cold calling and/or lead generation experience to communicate with potential clients via phone, emails, and LinkedIn to develop an interest in Trust Lab’s software. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are driven, tech-savvy, and eager to advance their careers in sales.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a results-oriented, motivated and strategic ‘hunter’ who is laser-focused on building sales pipeline within the global market. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for cold-calling prospects and educating the market about the power of Trust Lab and generating opportunities with net-new customers. You will become an expert at using lead generation tools to routinely extract contacts and craft accurate and targeted lists of prospects. You will be able to conduct business development best practices with email, phone, and social drips to connect with new prospects.
*TrustLab is only authorized to hire in specific states. You must be located in one of these US states in order to apply for the role: CA, CO, CT, DC, MA, MD, MI, MT, NY, OR, PA, TX, VA, WI.
What You’ll Do:
- Initiate relationships and develop rapport with prospects by anticipating needs and understanding unique customer environment
- Effectively articulate the Trust Lab value proposition by phone and e-mail
- Deliver consistently against quota, despite imperfect systems and processes
- Maintain clean records in Salesforce
- Proactively provide focused feedback on every aspect of the business including sales tools, prospect intelligence, and results from marketing campaigns
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to continuously improve demand-generation processes and best practices
- Contribute to our team-oriented culture and bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm to work each day
- Make 40+ dials and send 40+ emails per day to engage with decision-makers
- Stay up-to-date with Trust Lab's products and the evolving industry
- Leverage LinkedIn, gifting platform and intent data to drive success with a multi-channel approach
The Background You’ll Have:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High-caliber cold-calling skills
- Familiarity with common office software
- Self-starter nature - intrinsically motivated
- Grit and determination - not afraid of rejection
- High levels of energy and enthusiasm
- Data-driven and results-oriented
- Tech-savvy and willing to learn about complex software solutions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Highly team-oriented – must be able to accept and contribute new ideas
- Experience using sales technologies like Apollo.io, Salesforce, Sales Navigator, etc.
- Previous experience in a BDR or similar role is a plus but not required
