About the role

  • We are looking for a Data Analyst / BI Specialist to support our engineering and product teams by managing data workflows, building dashboards, and extracting insights to enable data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, writing efficient queries, and creating visualizations that drive business impact.

This position can be contract-based, or an internship, depending on experience and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data for internal use.
  • Create and maintain dashboards using tools like Explo, Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to prepare datasets for analysis and demos.
  • Automate data pipelines and reporting workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Support ad hoc data requests, including pulling insights for customer presentations and product evaluations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and consistency across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Experience with BI tools like Explo, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and best practices for data warehousing.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred skills

  • Experience with scripting languages like Python for data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS).
  • Knowledge of event-driven data processing or streaming architectures.
  • Interest in Trust & Safety and content moderation challenges.
  • Assist in basic data science tasks such as feature engineering or exploratory analysis.
